High Hotts

High hotts, in Ireshopeburn is where I lived from the age of 12 years until we were married. Mam & Dad continued to live there until 1994. The farm in on the right, and down the lane on the main road High House Chapel and Weardale Museum. In the top corner is the tiny hamlet of Newhouse. Behind the Chapel is Coronation Bridge, on the River wear, where the foundation stone was laid on the day of Queen Victoria's coronation in 1837.
