Briar Hill is on the main road from Wearhead to Ireshopeburn, nearly into Ireshopeburn. It is known locally as Tim's Row and the photo is taken from the corner. In other bad winters years ago it was the place which always filled with drifting snow causing the road to be closed, but this winter the ploughs have kept it open.
