Up towards Killhope

Looking up the river towards Wellhope and Killhope from Copt Hill. The white house on the right used to be th Treveller's Rest pub and Lanehead shop, the main A689 runs in front of it. The house on the left is Allers Lea. The woodland at the top is Killhope.

  1. Hello

I am currently researching the Emerson part of my ancestry - I think you will find that the Elliotts and Emersons were neighbours at Wellhope in the 19th Century.

My Great Uncle Fred Emerson had a farm at Cowshill which visited as a child in he 1950's and Uncle ivan Emerson was the local auctioneer.

Have you any photos in your collection of Wellhope today?

I can be contacted directly at mikewatterson@btconnect.co.uk

    Would appreciate any assistance

    Kind regards

    Mike Watterson
