One Hundred Years Ago

Today we remember Joseph Thompson Monkhouse, son of Octavius and Mary Hannah, husband of Bessie and father of  Bunty, of Heatherycleugh and Stanhope, killed 27/04/1915 aged 29 yrs.
Served in the D.L.I. and  remembered with honour at Ypres (Menin Gate), Stanhope and on the stained window in Heatherycleugh Church
