Transformation better than it falling down but lost all its character and charm. Strange when all the listed buildings are left to rack and ruine isn't it shame we are unable to save those isn't it. Sorry about the moan but sure you will understand as you love the area so much.
PC Andy Campbell and his wife Joan lived here I'm guessing late 1970s. Andy was originally from Gourock in Scotland . He joined the police after he returned from working in Hong Kong...he was a friend of my father's and as a family we used to visit. I have very fond memories

PC George Ward, his wife Betty and children David (now Fr. David) and Julia lived here in the late 1960's leaving for a new life in Norfolk in 1968.
