Stanhope Ford, which used to be crossed by car at any time, is now closed because people have tried to cross during floods and got stuck in the middle, costing huge sums of money to rescue them. It is now only open for certain events, and by
permission as shown in the bottom photo. The grounds at the top left are Newtown House.
