After the Church service on Sunday we walked up to Copt Hill to remember those who had been killed in the First Word War (top right) and Second War (bottom). A poppy wreath was laid at the foot of the cross.Our last veteran of the War died last year, Lawrence Peart aged 93, he had attended every year. Even when he could not get out of the car, he sat and took part in the service.
