Wearhead Railway Station

This used to be the Railway Sation until the line closed in the late 1950s.  Wearhead was the end of the line for the Weardale Railway, the track now runs as far as Stanhope.  The station was demolished apart from one wall and rebuilt as a bungalow in the 1960s.  Lots of information about the Weardale Railway can be found in the Weardale Museum.
