The Roddam Memorial in Stanhope Churchyard
"Erected
by the inhabitants of Weardale
as a tribute of respect
to the memory of
Margaret, wife of Jonathan Roddam
of Newhouse, who departed this life
at Harrogate on the 20th June 1858
aged 40 years
and was interred in this place.
Also the above named Jonathan Roddam
who departed this life June 14th 1861
aged 44 years"
