Low Rush & Hill Top

Low Rush is shown on the right photo
and Hill Top on the left. They are very close together, only a small field separates them. The tracks passes Low Rush and drops down towards the river, then back up to the main road. Both photos were taken from the main road to get a better view.

  1. Thank you so much! I have been unable to find any tiny reference to "Low Rush" other than the 1841 - 61 English Census. This is where my GGGG-Grandparents lived. Ralph Emerson (1788-1863) and Jane Race (1789-1863).

  2. My Mum and Dad bought Low Rush in the early 1960s from a Mrs Peart (who I met briefly) and kept it for around 15 years. I stayed there on holiday numerous times with my parents and with my friends. My Dad created the bedroom window just above the front door. We knew the family at Middle Rush. Best wishes, Howard.
